For the very first time, honoring the participation of several international speakers at an Indian script centric conference, ‘Typo-graphy Day 2011’ made its mark in the history of Indian Typography. This time it was hosted by the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad in collaboration with the Industrial Design Centre, IIT, and Aksharaya.
The theme of the event this year being ‘Typography and Expression’, we showcased a presentation about the workshop and camp titled ‘Indian Letterforms in 3D’ that was conducted in 2010. A film made on this workshop and camp was screened during the presentation. A calendar comprising of selected artworks created during the workshop was displayed. Some of them were also converted into posters and were available for sale during Typography Day 2011.
